UNE - ECRU WHITE is a bucket hat that expresses the theme of this HIZUME SS23 collection, "TADAYOIGUMO". "TADAYOIGUMO" is a Japanese word that represents clouds flowing slowly and freely changing their shape in the sky. The manufacturing process involves me, a MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France), personally creating an original prototype, which is then used by the world's best woodcutters to create the base of the hat's shape. Based on this wooden form, the base shape of the hat is created using a precious traditional hat-making technique called "sparterie", which is rarely used today. On top of this base, drapes are applied to freely depict the mood of this year's theme "TADAYOIGUMO". On the left side of the brim is a metal button, individually hand-polished to a mirror finish. The material is modern and elegant cotton canvas.Made by hand at the Atelier HIZUME, Paris, France.
